Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase received a one-game suspension after spitting on Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Jalen Ramsey during the game on Sunday.

Chase will appeal the suspension, which would force him to miss the team's upcoming game against the New England Patriots on November 23rd.

Should the league uphold the decision, Chase will also have to forfeit his paycheck for the week.

Ramsey was ejected from the game for punching Chase.

Chase leads the Bengals with 861 yards and 79 receptions this season. His five touchdowns are second to Tee Higgins' seven.

Cinci lost to Pittsburgh 34-12, making it their third straight loss as they fell to 3-7 on the season.

An incident happened like this in the first game of the season when Philadelphia Eagles' Jalen Carter was suspended one game after spitting on Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott

Since the incident happened on the first play of the game, Carter's game ejection served as his one-game suspension.

However, a "Spit Gate" occurred when another video surfaced showing Prescott spitting first, but he received no disciplinary action after it looked as if he was spitting towards the ground in front of, not at, Carter.
