Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has been suspended for the first six weeks of the regular season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.

The NFL originally planned to suspend Rice 10-12 games, but the receiver's llawyers got the league to settle on six.

Rice was caught in a speed racing incident in Dallas, Texas, in March 2024, where he was clocked at 119 mph. The 25-year-old was sentenced to five years of probation and 30 days in jail following trial and paid out $115,000 to the victims involved in the crash.

After causing the crash, Rice fled the scene on foot with his friends, leaving the injured unattended.

Rice only played in the first four games last season after having to undergo season-ending knee surgery, posting just 288 yards and two touchdowns.

The former second-round pick will now miss the following six games of the 2025 season: Los Angeles Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, Baltimore Ravens, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Detroit Lions
