Our NFL experts give their picks for Week 6's Thursday night primetime showdown between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles!

The NFC has given us two straight weeks of fantastic Thursday night games. Now, it's back with another division battle.

Philly is heading to The Meadowlands as 7.5-point favourites over the Giants with the over-under set at 40.5. The Eagles have won seven of nine matches against the Giants since Jalen Hurts became the team's starting quarterback.

They outscored New York 48-16 in last year's matchups, which included a 28-3 beatdown at MetLife Stadium.

Game breakdown

Both teams are coming off losses - the Eagles to the Denver Broncos and the Giants to a then-winless New Orleans Saints

Philly boasts the 30th-ranked offence to the Giants' 19th. On the other side of the ball, neither are great. New York has the 26th overall defence to Philly's 20th.

The Eagles boast an average +16 point differential with all of their games this season being decided by seven points or less.

As for the Giants, they have a -40 point differential that ranks second-worst in the NFC, a three-point difference from the Saints (-43), who they just lost to.

What's even more haunting for the Giants is that they have the third-worst turnover differential (-5) with only three takeaways and eight turnovers.

Meanwhile, no team turns the ball over less than the Eagles. They have committed only one this season - something no other team has accomplished through these first five weeks.

Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart posted 257 total yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions against the Saints, with back-to-back weeks posting a 65.0% completion percentage.

The Giants have only allowed one team to throw for over 300 on them (Cowboys - 361), while the Eagles have held all opposing QBs under the threshold.

Philly's Jalen Hurts threw a season-high 280 yards last week on a season-high 38 attempts (23 completions), just the second time this season he eclipsed 200+ yards in the air, and was sacked a season-high six times against a stout Broncos pass rush.

Reigning offensive player of the year Saquon Barkley hasn't eclipsed 100 total yards in a single game this year and is averaging a rough 3.2 yards per carry.

For the Giants, rookie standout Cam Skattebo has posted two 100-yard games in two of the past three weeks.

As for the injury reports...

The Giants will be without wide receivers Darius Slayton (hamstring) and Malik Nabers (out for the year) along with linebackers Swayze Bozeman (ankle) and Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (hamstring).

Offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor is questionable with a back injury after being a limited participant in practice on Wednesday.

Philly will be without All-Pro guard Landon Dickerson (ankle) and tight end Grant Calcaterra (oblique). Defensive tackle Jalen Carter is questionable with a heel injury. He was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday.

Now, let's get into our experts' picks!

Eric: Eagles 26-19 Giants

Giants being without their top two receiving options isn't ideal for a rookie quarterback that needs all the help he can get. Even Dart and Skattebo can carry the load, it'll weigh them down early.

Despite Philly barely scraping by in all of their games, and having it finally catch up to them last week, I don't see how they come out of this with a loss unless Dart shines under the bright lights for his first career primetime game.

Henri: Eagles 34-10 Giants

Despite the hype surrounding Jaxson Dart, the Giants are a team that relies heavily on individual performances following the loss of Malik Nabers.

I don't see any chance for the team from the Big Apple to put up a close fight against what is arguably the strongest team in the league. In the end, the far superior team in the Eagles will prevail and secure an important victory in the NFC East.

Paul: Eagles 27-13 Giants

After an impressive debut, Jaxson Dart reminded everyone that he’s also still a rookie during the G-Men’s loss to the winless Saints. And now they'll meet the Eagles at an unfortunate time after the champions’ first loss of the season.

It’ll need a Miracle at the Meadowlands going in the Giants’ way to keep the Eagles from winning a revenge game.

Give me Moro Ojomo’s Eagles!

Miguel: Eagles 29-16 Giants

After losing in Week 5, the Philadelphia Eagles will surely want to prove that their setback against the Broncos was just a blip. There’s no better way to do that than against a Giants team that is weaker than them on paper.

For me, there shouldn’t be much of a story in this game. Nick Sirianni’s boys are superior pound for pound. Only a major upset would allow New York to come away with a positive result.
