The NHL brought fans a five-game slate on Sunday that saw the Columbus Blue Jackets score three-straight to rally past the New York Islanders, while the Tampa Bay Lightning hold off an insane comeback from the Montreal Canadiens!

Blue Jackets 4-2 Islanders

The Islanders got out to a 2-1 lead thanks to back-to-back goals from Max Shabanov (4) and Bo Horvat (20) before heading into the third and final frame.

But Columbus rallied with three straight goals to eventually take the win in the end, thanks to Ivan Provorov (5), Kirill Marchenko (13), his second of the game, and Cole Sillinger (4) with the empty-netter.

Columbus improved to 16-15-6, winning back-to-back games, while the Islanders dropped to 21-14-4.

Lightning 5-4 Canadiens

Despite being outshot 36-22 and giving up three straight goals in the third period, sending the game into overtime, the Lightning pulled through in the shootout thanks to goals from Brayden Point and Gage Goncalves

Nikita Kucherov (17) scored twice to put the Lightning up 2-0 early on. But a pair from Montreal's Juraj Slafkovsky (13) and one from Noah Dobson (7) forced OT.

Unfortunately for the Habs, they fell to 20-12-6, while the Lightning improved to 22-13-3 as they extended their winning streak to four games.

Penguins 7-3 Blackhawks

Justin Brazeau (11) scored his first-career hat trick as the Penguins throttled the Blackhawks.

After scoring his first goal in the first period, one in which the Penguins scored four straight to go up 4-0 heading into the second frame, Brazeau would score back-to-back goals in the second period to put the Penguins up 6-1.

Bryan Rust (15) would score two for the Penguins, while Anthony Mantha (12) and Noel Acciari (3) scored the remaining two.

Since ending their eight-game losing streak, the Penguins have now won two of their last three as they improved to 16-12-9.

Chicago fell to 14-18-6 and have now lost eight of their last 10 games.

Red Wings 3-2 Maple Leafs

The Detroit Red Wings continue to be a top-five team in the league after taking down the Maple Leafs, thanks to a Simon Edvinsson (5) goal in overtime.

Matthew Knies (10) took advantage on one of the two Maple Leafs power plays of the night to go up 1-0 in the second period.

But Detroit's Moritz Seider (7) would score with 59 seconds left in the first frame to tie it all up. Toronto's Nicholas Robertson (8) would put them back up 2-1 until Mason Appleton (4) scored 23 seconds later to tie it up again for Detroit, sending it to OT.

After Edvinsson's game-winner, the Red Wings improved to 23-14-3, while the Leafs fell to 17-15-6.

Kraken 4-1 Flyers

After a scoreless first period, Jordan Eberle (14) and Chandler Stephenson (10) put the Kraken up 2-0.

Eeli Tolvanen (6) would score his first empty-netter of the night with under four minutes to go in the game to put the Kraken up 3-0 before the Flyers finally responded with a goal from Carl Grundstrom (6).

Tolvanen (7) would send his second empty-netter home as the Kraken extended their win streak to four games, improving to 16-14-6.

Seattle goaltender Philipp Grubauer would record over 30 saves for the fourth time this season, with 31 against Philly, who fell to 19-11-7.
