Danish golfer Rasmus Hojgaard delivered a strong second round at the US Masters major tournament on Friday when he went six shots better than his first round on Thursday.

Hojgaard went through the Augusta course in Georgia in 67 shots, which was five under par.

Along the way, Hojgaard produced eight birdies on Friday and was heading for a terrific round, but struggled a bit towards the end.

Five of Hojgaards's birdies came during the first ten holes where his putting was exceptional.

His standard dropped a bit towards the end of the round where he delivered three bogeys on six holes.

So far, Rasmus Hojgaard is in eigth place place but there are still players on the course including Rasmus Hojgaard's twin brother, Nicolai Højgaard, who struggled to maintain momentum on the first round and ended up in 38th place.

Nicolai Hojgaard finished 16 in the US Masters last year, after he led the tournament during the third round. His brother is participating in the tournament for the first time.

The US Masters ends on Sunday.
