NRL Injury List: Who will miss Round Five?

Latrell Mitchell and Nathan Cleary are the headline returnees for this week of the NRL, boosting a couple of Sydney clubs at the same time that the Roosters' extensive injury crisis went from bad to worse.

Raiders v Sharks (Thursday, 8:00pm AEDT)

Morgan Smithies is the headline returnee for the Canberra Raiders, who have only Zac Hosking on their short-term injury list.

3-4 weeks: Zac Hosking (hand)

TBD: Jordan Martin (hand), Ethan Sanders (face)

2026: Albert Hopoate (knee)

Cronulla Sharks prop Tom Hazleton will be out for a fourth week with the back injury that has plagued him this year. 

1-2 weeks: Tom Hazleton (back)

TBD: Kade Dykes (knee), Braden Hamlin-Uele (knee), Kayal Iro (hamstring), Siosifa Talakai (concussion)

2026: Liam Ison (ACL)

Panthers v Cowboys (Friday, 6:00pm AEDT)

Nathan Cleary is back for Penrith this week, as was widely publicised, though they'll have to wait another week for his co-star Dylan Edwards. 

1-2 weeks: Dylan Edwards (groin), Scott Sorensen (head knock)

4 weeks: Brian To’o (hamstring)

TBD: Trent Toelau (knee)

It's an almost unchanged matchday squad for the Cowboys this week as they continue to manage the recovery of Braidon Burns. 

1-2 weeks: Braidon Burns (hamstring)

2026: Tom Chester (ACL), Heilum Luki (ACL)

Rabbitohs v Roosters (Friday, 8:00pm AEDT)

Lachlan Hubner and Latrell Mitchell are both back for the Rabbitohs this week, whilst Alex Johnston's rib injury is being assessed.

1-2 weeks: Euan Aitken (pectoral), Tyrone Munro (collarbone), Campbell Graham (calf)

TBD: Alex Johnston (ribs), Cameron Murray (achilles)

Victor Radley is the huge out for the Roosters this week after sustaining a blow to the face. Salesi Foketi was cleared to start on the bench.

1-2 weeks: Connor Watson (concussion), Victor Radley (cheekbone)

TBD: Egan Butcher (knee), Benaiah Ioelu (leg), Tyler Moriarty (ankle), Fetalaiga Pauga (back), Braidon Smith (knee), De La Salle Va’a (unknown), Sam Walker (ACL)

Eels v Dragons (Saturday, 3:00pm AEDT)

Dylan Walker and Luca Moretti have been elevated to the bench this week for an Eels side that can't get Mitch Moses back quickly enough.

2-3 weeks: Mitchell Moses (foot)

4-6 weeks: Jack Williams (knee)

Emre Guler got a three-game ban for a crusher tackle against the Storm last week and is the only forced out for St George Illawarra.

Titans v Dolphins (Saturday, 5:30pm AEDT)

Jaimin Joliffe passed his fitness test during the week, but Sam Verrills' hip has kept him out for Gold Coast's game against the Dolphins. 

1-2 weeks: Sam Verrills (hip)

TBD: Kieran Foran (biceps), Alofiana Khan-Pereira (hamstring), Keano Kini (neck)

Connelly Lemuelu's return to the second row from a facial injury is the Dolphins' only change for Round 5.

Broncos v Tigers (Saturday, 7:35pm AEDT)

Broncos winger Jordan Riki was suspended for a careless high tackle against the Dolphins and is the Broncos' only out for this week.

TBD: Blake Mozer (shoulder)

Jarome Luai was also a naughty boy and will join Jeral Skelton on the sidelines, possibly for even longer than a week depending on how his shoulder recovers. Wests Tigers have added centre Adam Doueihi and winger Luke Laulilii to their starting 13.

2-3 weeks: Brent Naden (knee)

Sea Eagles v Storm (Sunday, 4:05pm AEDT)

Tom Trbojevic and Josh Aloiai are Manly's two outs from last week's squad, with the latter expected to be back soon. 

1-2 weeks: Josh Aloiai (shoulder), Lachlan Croker (knee)

4 weeks: Tom Trbojevic (knee)

Late 2025: Taniela Paseka (achilles)

The only change to the Storm matchday 17 was on the bench. They're not far from getting Jahrome Hughes and Nelson back. 

1-2 weeks: Jahrome Hughes (hand), Nelson Asofa-Solomona (concussion)

3-4 weeks: Nick Meaney (jaw)

TBD: Dean Ieremia (achilles)

Bulldogs v Knights (Sunday, 6:15pm AEDT)

The last 6pm Sunday game sees the Bulldogs missing the banned Sitili Tupouniua in addition to some existing injuries.

1-2 weeks: Jacob Kiraz (hip), Matt Burton (knee), Viliame Kikau (knee)

Round 7: Sitili Tupouniua (suspended)

3-4 weeks: Enari Tuala (foot)

Newcastle prop Leo Thompson passed a fitness test to return to their run-on 13.
