Arraez, 29, is second in the league in both batting average (.324) and hits (136). He needs just four more home runs to tie last year's total (8) and 27 more RBI to set a new career high.
This will make it Arraez's fourth team in three years as he's set to be a free agent at the end of the season.
In a separate trade deal moments after, the Phillies acquired pitcher Brooks Raley from the Mets.
The Colombian Silver Slugger is also a three-time batting title champion. In his eight years, Arraez has only finished a season with a batting average below .310 twice (2021- .294, 2025 - .292), establishing himself as one of the best contact hitters in the modern era.
Arraez led the National League in both hits (181) and sacrifice hits (12) last season. Should he beat out Lopez and possibly Houston's Yordan Alvarez, it'll mark the first season Arraez has led the league in total hits.
The Phillies will also be bringing in some relief help. Killian, 29, is tossing a 4.29 ERA with 53 strikeouts through 44.1 innings this season.
Heading to the Giants, Marquez, 20, has a 2.44 ERA through 11 starts (12 games) with a whopping 93 strikeouts in 59 innings through Single-A and High-A ball.
Also joining the Giants' system is Marquez's teammate in Gair. The 23-year-old is posting a 4.50 ERA through 30 games with 66 strikeouts in 36 innings.
