Here's a snapshot of how your club manager felt about their respective results at the weekend.

Western Sydney Wanderers 2-2 Wellington Phoenix

Gary van Egmond (Western Sydney Wanderers):

"Disappointing. It feels more of a loss than gaining a point, in particular after the first half. In saying that, it's a game of two halves, right? We spoke about that after last week in which we were good in the first half against (Melbourne) City and not so good in the second.

"We need to address that. Being in a position where we've got a lead, it's not about how you manage that lead. Good teams will come out and get the third and fourth goals. There's a bit of belief in regards to this team that we're going to have to work on."

Giancarlo Italiano (Wellington Phoenix):

"It was about making sure we don't give up for 90 minutes. Really happy with the bounce-back from half-time. We made changes at half-time and I think they were good changes. The players that came on gave us the difference. I was really happy after the first goal and I felt as though we should have got a penalty at the end and could have won that.

"We're playing for our season, we're 2-0 down, I think coaches being animated is part of the game. I was a bit frustrated that in the first half they (WSW) were repeating fouls that weren't getting pulled up. It's obvious that they had a real intent to use that to stop us."

Perth Glory 1-3 Newcastle Jets

Adam Griffiths (Perth Glory):

"Very disappointed. We gave them free shots from two set pieces when they played short corners, which we knew they were going to do. We didn't do our jobs. I felt that the game was very evenly balanced for the majority of the first half. It was very tight and we didn't give them that much. When you concede goals, you lose confidence and momentum shifts.

"From what I've seen thus far, we just need to improve in some critical moments. We play good passages of football and then it breaks. Those moments have to be clinical and have X-factor, and it's not happening."

Mark Milligan (Newcastle Jets):

"I thought the boys worked very hard tonight given a short turnaround. It's always a difficult trip here regardless and I thought we stuck to our principles. When we could, we played our football. I'm disappointed with the way we conceded late in the game, but I can't be disappointed with the effort the players put in.

"It's been important that we stick to what we do and from day one I haven't been able to fault this group. They're willing to take onboard what we want from them - the football we want to play and the team we want to be. As the year has gone on it can be difficult to retain that focus but we continue to challenge them and they continue to rise to the challenge."

Melbourne Victory 1-1 Brisbane Roar

Arthur Diles (Melbourne Victory):

"It feels like a loss to be honest with you. We'll take the point but it feels like a loss. We started the game ever so well and things were looking great. In the end, we weren't clinical enough to put the second one in. They were vulnerable and we just didn't have the killer punch today. I was very pleased with the football in the first half. The energy was great. But in the end you've gotta keep going.

"I felt we weren't dangerous enough in the box and that's not good enough from us. We've got to be more ruthless, more clinical, and put them to bed. The most disappointing thing about the second half is we lost control of the match and got a little bit stressed at times. We became vulnerable when we lost control and we've got to be better in those moments in terms of our structure and discipline."

Borja Lema (Brisbane Roar):

"The performance in the first half wasn't that great. We were defending good, but after winning the ball we weren't able to hold it. We spoke about that at half-time and it was one of the biggest changes in the second half. As soon as we were able to hold some balls we were able to create some chances and we could have even scored one or two more. This team believes keeps fighting until the end and I think with a bit of luck we could have even won the game. We are very happy with this point because it's huge.

"(D'Agostino) is the kind of player who is coming here to bring one more mindset into the team who believes we can win from anywhere. We are trying to manage his workload, and he has been managing a couple of knocks."

Sydney FC 1-2 Adelaide United

Ufuk Talay (Sydney FC):

"Disappointed, definitely. I think we had a good 15-minute period in the first half and a good 20-minute period in the second half. The boys that came on gave us good energy in the second half, created some good moments. We had some good momentum but didn't capitalise on it. Adelaide love a transition game and they pounced on that moment to score the winner.

"Disappointed that we lost at home and scored a good goal only to concede four minutes later. We've got a very short turnaround to our next game on Tuesday so we have to move on."

Airton Andrioli (Adelaide United):

"It's always good to win football matches, especially when you come here against a tough opposition. Very pleasing with the way the boys saw out the game and how they stuck to the structure and discipline. We had lots of transition moments in which we could have finished off the game earlier that we didn't execute so well.

"I think our structure disrupted what they wanted to do in the first half and that was what we were aiming for. At the end of the day, we rode our luck, made lots of chances. This result is very pleasing and will help to instil the confidence we keep talking about with these young kids."
