Avondale, South Melbourne and Heidelberg United all earned hosting rights for the quarter-finals of the inaugural Australian Championship after winning their respective groups.

Victorian domination was the story of the 2025 Australian Championship group stage with the only three undefeated clubs coming from Melbourne.

The city will be the focal point of the inaugural quarter-finals this coming weekend when Avenger Park (Avondale FC), Olympic Village (Heidelberg United) and Lakeside Stadium (South Melbourne) host the second, third and fourth games of the weekend.

Wests APIA (formerly APIA Leichhardt) will kick off the knockout rounds with a tasty Sydney derby against Marconi Stallions, who scraped through to the last eight on goal difference after a dramatic 5-0 loss to Wollongong Wolves in the final group stage round. A 6-0 loss would have seen them eliminated at the hands of the Wolves.

All games will be tracked live on Flashscore. The first three matches will be aired on SBS and the fourth on the league's official YouTube channel, whilst SBS On Demand will have all four games live.
