Match analysis: "We started very well, everything we prepared happened and I think the players read the game perfectly. They played well, showed spirit, cohesion, intelligence. Then they showed class, confidence, and managed to exploit the spaces we found. We caused a lot of problems with Ivanovic getting in behind. It's a great win that keeps us in the fight. The next two games will be extremely tough, against Juventus and Real Madrid, but we're still in it."
Game strategy: "The strategy worked well. I think most of the time we coaches get the choices right, but it's the players on the pitch who make those choices look good or make us look like failures. I knew Antonio (Conte) and my players well. We worked on it in training and things went well. Ivanovic did a great job. The players were smart. The credit goes to the team, period."
Midfield: "The issue was Buongiorno and Beukema getting to where Sudakov, Barreiro, and Aursnes positioned themselves. When they tried to get there and left space, Ivanovic looked to get in behind. If the ball got through, we could create danger, but we could also catch our breath. Things went well. The players did an extraordinary job. The team was very strong."
Debuts for Tiago Freitas and José Neto: "These debuts weren't in my plans, but I trust them. If there was a problem with Dahl, (José) Neto would come in. If it was Rios, then Freitas. Physically, they're similar players. Then, when we switched to a back five, Aursnes and Barreiro were already tired and we needed fresh legs to break up the rhythm. Players strong in the air. It's perfect for them. Making their debut for Benfica is top. At Luz, in the Champions League... and winning makes it even better."
