Joey Veerman agreed on personal terms with Fenerbahce on Friday after the Turkish giants activated the midfielder's release clause, making the game away at FC Utrecht his potential farewell game.

The visitors controlled the bulk of the possession following Pepi's goal and finally found a second goal in the 76th minute, when Joey Veerman sent a corner-kick to the near post for Ivan Perisic to nod in a crucial goal.
PSV's attempts to keep FC Utrecht at bay were made more difficult when captain Jerdy Schouten received his second yellow of the afternoon, which ultimately did not hinder PSV on their way to a record-breaking 14th consecutive away win in the Eredivisie.
The Eindhoven giants head into the winter break with a comfortable lead of at least 12 points. PSV will continue their Eredivisie campaign at home against Excelsior on January 10th, 2026.
