Round 10 of the Dutch Eredivisie was concluded on Sunday with a highly entertaining four-game slate, including a derby and a clash between two European contestants.

AZ - FC Utrecht: 4-1

FC Utrecht saw their dip in form continue in Alkmaar on Sunday after being beaten 4-1 by fellow European contestants AZ.

Former Spurs starlet Troy Parrott quickly opened the scoring in the sixth minute, after which he doubled it in the 34th after capping off a fantastic team build-up.

Captain Sven Mijnans fired in AZ's third after the break on an assist from Weslley Patati, who prepared two goals on Sunday. Parrott could've made it a hat-trick after an hour of play, but saw his effort get saved by Vasilis Barkas.

Gjivai Zechiel got one back for Utrecht in the 69th minute, but all hopes of an unlikely comeback were erased in the 88th minute by AZ left-back Mees de Wit. The attacking-minded defender rushed forward, passed two defenders and calmly slotted the ball in the bottom corner for the exclamation mark on AZ's big victory over a rival.

Go Ahead Eagles - Excelsior: 2-0

Mere days after their famous win over Aston Villa at De Adelaarshorst, Go Ahead Eagles beat Excelsior 2-0 to win their third game in the last five across all competitions.

Without Gerrit Nauber, who suffered a significant leg injury in Thursday's UEFA Europa League upset over the Villains, the Eagles opened the scoring after nearly an hour, thanks to Mathis Suray. The Belgian, responsible for Thursday's equaliser, scored from a rebound just eight minutes before heading in the hosts' second and last goal of the evening.

FC Twente - Ajax: 2-3

A sensational first ten minutes of the second half earned Ajax a tough come-from-behind win away at FC Twente, who lost their first game under manager John van den Brom. To read about Ajax's first away win of the season, read our match report here.

Feyenoord - PSV: 2-3

Reigning champions PSV dealt league leaders Feyenoord a big blow by handing them their first defeat of the season, courtesy of an Ismael Saibari hat-trick. To read all about this heavyweight clash, read our match report here.
