Goalkeeper

Matthijs Branderhorst (Fortuna Sittard) - 8.7

Matthijs Branderhorst kept Fortuna Sittard alive against promoted Cambuur, saving six shots and only letting one through - a brilliant solo effort from Rafik El Arguioui. His 85.7% save rate topped the league this weekend.

Defenders

Bart van Rooij (FC Twente) - 8.6

After a shaky start to the season, Bart van Rooij was back to his reliable self against PEC Zwolle. With six created chances, he led not just his team, but the entire Eredivisie over the past weekend. Completing 51 of 53 passes is also a great record, and all that in 69 minutes.

Ruud Nijstad (FC Twente) - 8.6

Young Ruud Nijstad, Van Rooij's colleague in Twente's backline, was often linked with a move away from Enschede over the summer after his spectacular development in the 2025/26 season. He stayed put, however, and showed out against PEC Zwolle with excellent passing (94/98 completed) and solid defence (3/3 duels won, 1/1 tackle won) in his team's 3-1 win ahead of Thursday's UEFA Conference League meeting with Qarabag.

Marvin Young (Sparta Rotterdam) - 9.1

Marvin Young developed into an exciting young defender last season and continues to grow this season. Against Telstar, Young scored the opening goal and was a rock in the back, winning 3/4 tackles and a total of 6 possessions, all the while leading his team in touches (68) as a 20-year-old.

Midfielders

Rafik El Arguioui (Cambuur) - 8.6

Rafik El Arguioui was the heartbeat of Cambuur during their 3-1 loss away at Fortuna Sittard. The handy midfielder created three chances and scored a brilliant goal, in addition to winning possession five times and winning six duels. If there was anyone to blame for Cambuur's loss, it wasn't El Arguioui.

Tjaronn Chery (NEC) - 9.0

Tjaronn Chery is ageing like a fine wine. The 38-year-old midfielder became the oldest goal scorer in club history against Willem II in a game in which he was NEC's biggest attacking threat with 4 shots, while also creating three chances, which included the assist to Kaj Sierhuis' classy volley to make it 4-1.

Thom van Bergen (FC Groningen) - 9.4 (PotW)

Thom van Bergen has been on a tear since last season's run-in. The Groningen native makes playing for the 'Pride of the North' look like an honour with his work rate and has largely solved his finishing issues, scoring the opener against ADO Den Haag.

Van Bergen took 5 shots, 4 of which were on target, completed 5 of 9 dribbles, won 8 of a staggering 16 duels, and assisted Nils Eggens' goal, which was one of the team-leading 3 chances he created in his side's 4-1 win. His work rate also helped the attacking midfielder win a game-high 9 possessions. An all-round fantastic performance from our Player of the Week.

Gjivai Zechiel (Feyenoord) - 8.8

Gjivai Zechiel has finally found his place in De Kuip. The talented young midfielder was an afterthought for previous manager Robin van Persie, but is a key player in Giovanni van Bronckhorst's midfield alongside Charles Vanhoutte and Luciano Valente.

In his side's disappointing 2-2 draw, Zechiel scored his first professional goal for Feyenoord against Go Ahead Eagles, created 4 chances, completed 6 dribbles, and won 6 possessions. He's arrived in the South of Rotterdam.

Clement Bischoff (NEC) - 9.0

Whereas Chery was the attacking heart, Danish winger Clement Bischoff was the creative heartbeat. The Red Bull Salzburg loanee has impressed in Nijmegen with daring dribbles, showing plenty against Willem II again: he completed 3 of 5, created 4 chances, won 6 duels, and recorded the game-high in touches in the opposition's box (12).

Forwards

Nokkvi Thorisson (Sparta Rotterdam) - 9.1

Icelandic striker Nokkvi Thorisson was a handful for his former team. Thorisson, who spent the second half of last season in Velsen-Zuid, assisted Marvin Young's opener and doubled Sparta's lead shortly after half-time with a tidy finish. He also created three total chances and was fouled 6 times. As I said - a true handful.

Anis Hadj Moussa (Feyenoord) - 8.8

Anis Hadj Moussa was his usual, busy self in Feyenoord's 2-2 home draw against Go Ahead Eagles. The Algerian maverick assisted Ayase Ueda's 2-0 and created three further chances, while also completing 4 dribbles and leading everyone in touches in the opposition's box (15) and progressive movements (20).
