The 20-year-old Hatenboer joined Anderlecht from Excelsior in January 2025, choosing the Belgian giants over the likes of Feyenoord and PSV. Anderlecht loaned Hatenboer out to Excelsior for the second half of the season, during which the Rotterdam outfit clinched promotion to the Eredivisie.
Since joining Les Mauves last summer, Hatenboer only appeared in five Challenger Pro League games with RSCA Future, Anderlecht's under-23 team.
On Monday, Telstar announced the arrival of Hatenboer on loan from Anderlecht. The team have negotiated an option to buy in the deal.
"We have stated our ambition to do everything we can to remain in the Eredivisie," Director of Football Peter Hofstede said on the club website.
"With the arrival of Cedric, we are bringing in a creative and dynamic midfielder who fits in well with Telstar's style of play. We are very pleased that Cedric has chosen us."
At the halfway point of the Eredivisie season, Telstar are in 15th place with 15 points from 17 games, leaving them one point above the relegation zone.
