Sweden's final match before heading to Switzerland will be played tomorrow evening against Norway in Oslo, and it has already been confirmed that Rolfo will play no part in the local derby.
The 31-year-old has been out of action since being forced off in another international derby, when Sweden beat Denmark at the start of the month.
Despite the injury to the foot ligaments she suffered not stopping Gerhardsson from calling her up for the Euros, the head coach admitted he is unaware as to whether Rolfo will be fit enough for Sweden's opener, also against Denmark, on 4th July.
"We do not know. Or, I do not know," he said in today's press conference.
When asked how long Sweden could manage without a player of Rolfo's calibre, Gerhardsson answered, "I cannot answer such hypothetical questions."
"What can be noted is that Fridolina is one of Sweden's absolute best football players," he added.
The lack of information available, even to the national team coach, is reportedly down to the medical staff not being allowed to comment on the situation.
The latest official communication stated, "Fridolina's follow-up examinations are ongoing, in parallel with further dialogue between the national team and the club team."
The decision was made earlier this week to draft Matilda Vinberg of Tottenham Hotspur into the training camp as a reserve player, ready to take Rolfo's place should she have to pull out.
