Third-placed Eredivisie outfit NEC Nijmegen, who knocked FC Volendam out of the cup, will try to continue a fairytale season by reaching their sixth KNVB Beker final in club history. Four-time winners AZ reached the semifinals after beating FC Twente 2-1 in a thriller that needed extra time to determine a winner. The Alkmaar team are the only Dutch team still active on three fronts after reaching the knockout stages of the UEFA Conference League.
Telstar have reached the semifinals of the KNVB Beker for the first time since 1992 and just the second time in club history. The newly-promoted 'White Lions' from Velsen-Zuid are at the bottom of the Eredivisie table, but recorded their biggest win of the season by knocking out reigning KNVB Beker winners Go Ahead Eagles in the quarterfinals.
The semifinals of the KNVB Beker will be played between March 3 and 5.
