With Manchester United recording another late win after beating Fulham 3-2 and Marseille throwing away a two-goal lead to draw in injury time against Paris FC, there were plenty of stories across the footballing world over the weekend.

Winner: Manchester United

Manchester United's resurgence under caretaker boss Michael Carrick continued on Sunday afternoon, with the Red Devils recording their third consecutive win after beating Fulham 3-2 at Old Trafford.

The home side had gone 2-0 up only to concede a late Raul Jimenez penalty and a stoppage-time beauty from Kevin - but things took an even sharper turn when Benjamin Sesko finished into the top corner in the dying embers of the match to rescue another three points for United.

Loser: Marseille

Marseille's faint Ligue 1 title hopes took a major hit at the weekend after drawing 2-2 with Paris FC.

The French giants had been winning 2-0 until the final stages but came undone after Jonathan Ikone's 82nd-minute strike was followed up by an Ilan Kebbal penalty in the 93rd minute of the match - meaning Roberto De Zerbi's side missed out on a golden chance to close the gap at the top of the table.

Winner: Ibrahima Konate

Ibrahima Konate returned to the Liverpool side for their 4-1 thrashing of Newcastle and got on the scoresheet to complete a superb performance from the Frenchman.

His goal and standout showing sparked emotional scenes at Anfield, with Konate excelling on his return to the side following the death of his father in January, stating after the match that he wanted to help the team after seeing how many injuries they were struggling with.

Loser: Feyenoord and Robin van Persie

Over in the Eredivisie, Feyenoord suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands of title rivals PSV to all but finish the championship race after just 21 matches.

Manager Robin van Persie oversaw the defeat, where three goals inside the opening 20 minutes put an almost definitive end to his side's title hopes.

PSV now sit top of the league with a staggering 17-point lead over their nearest rivals and could be confirmed as champions as early as April 11th if they maintain that distance.

Winner: Andrej Kramaric

Veteran forward Andrej Kramaric has enjoyed a revival in 2026 and continued his good form in Hoffenheim's latest win over Union Berlin.

The Croatian scored twice in his side's 3-1 victory and now has six goal contributions in his five appearances this year (five goals, one assist) - a run of form that also includes three Flashscore Player of the Match awards.

Loser: Eric Ramsay

West Brom appointed Eric Ramsay as their new manager in January in a bid to correct their slide down the Championship table.

Things have not gone to plan since his arrival, with the Baggies winless in four games. Their latest defeat came at the hands of relegation rivals Portsmouth, who ran out 3-0 victors at Fratton Park.

Ramsay has now overseen 3-0, 5-0 and 3-2 defeats during his short stint, as well as a 1-1 draw.

Winner: Dominic Solanke

Dominic Solanke recently returned from a long injury absence and has been one of Tottenham's standout performers over the last month - with his latest exploits coming in a 2-2 draw against Manchester City.

Spurs looked set for yet another Premier League defeat after finding themselves 2-0 down at half-time, but managed to turn things around thanks to their forward talisman.

Solanke bagged a brace in the second half, including a Goal of the Season contender after netting a spectacular scorpion kick.

Loser: Anderlecht

Belgian side RSC Anderlecht were defeated 2-0 by rivals Standard Liege on Sunday, with goals from Ibrahim Karamoko and Rafiki Said condemning the club to a third defeat in their last four league games.

The result led to the sacking of manager Besnik Hasi, less than a year after his appointment in March 2025, with the club sitting fourth in the table and 13 points behind league leaders Union SG.
