Manchester United talent Chido Obi is reportedly set to leave the club on loan to Dutch Eredivisie side Willem II.

Chido Obi, 18, will join promoted Eredivisie club Willem II on a season-long loan without an option to buy, Dutch outlet Voetbal International reported on Wednesday.

The Danish striker made history by becoming the youngest-ever player in a Manchester United starting XI, starting at 17 years and 156 days against Brentford on May 4th, 2025. In total, Obi has made 8 senior appearances for the Red Devils.

Obi joined Manchester United from Arsenal in 2024 after scoring 32 goals in 18 appearances for the Gunners' Under-18 side the season prior. In 56 games for Manchester United's Under-18 and Under-21 teams, Obi scored 36 goals.

The Danish youth international will join Willem II to compete with Devin Haen for the starting spot. The move resembles Borussia Dortmund's decision to loan Alexander Isak to Willem II in 2019. In 18 games for the Tilburg club, Isak scored 14 goals.

Chido Obi remains under contract at Manchester United until 2028.
