Newcastle United’s difficult Premier League campaign has left them in danger of losing a handful of key players at the end of the season.

Eddie Howe saw his side beaten at home by Everton on Saturday, a result that leaves the Magpies in 12th position in the Premier League.

This was supposed to be a season in which the club showed progress towards establishing themselves as a consistent Champions League-level side.

While they do have a last-16 tie against Barcelona to look forward to in Europe’s elite competition this month, there is growing concern about what the future could look like beyond this term.

There have recently been fresh rumours surrounding Anthony Gordon and his position at Newcastle.

However, there are other players who may prove even more difficult to retain.

Sources have indicated to Flashscore this week that it is increasingly likely Tino Livramento, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimarães could all leave in the summer.

The departure of that trio would represent a huge blow to the club’s long-term ambitions.

We understand that all three will have opportunities to move on at the end of the season, and difficult decisions lie ahead that could ultimately lead to their exits.

Those situations may also have a knock-on effect for Gordon, who continues to be linked with Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.

It is emerging that he is currently considered the least likely to actively push for a move, and Newcastle’s stance at this stage is that he will not be made available for transfer.

Newcastle still believe the season can finish positively, but upcoming fixtures in the FA Cup against Manchester City and in the Champions League against Barcelona will go a long way towards determining just how quickly events could unravel.
