Premier League Team of the Week: Arsenal's Rice and Man United's Dorgu lead the way

The Premier League returned last weekend after a brief break for the FA Cup, with several stars putting in impressive performances across the division.

Manchester United defeated rivals Manchester City in Michael Carrick's first game as interim manager, while West Ham snatched a last-gasp 2-1 win against fellow strugglers Tottenham.

Elsewhere, Arsenal played out a 0-0 draw with Nottingham Forest, and Burnley came from behind to earn a point in their 1-1 draw against Liverpool at Anfield.

Goalkeeper

Martin Dubravka (Burnley) - 8.4

Burnley goalkeeper Dubravka excelled in the Clarets' 1-1 draw away at Anfield.

The shot-stopper made an impressive eight saves and supplemented that with three clearances and two successful aerial duels.

Defenders

Nordi Mukiele (Sunderland) - 8.1

Mukiele has been one of several success stories at Sunderland this season and continued his good form with an assist in their 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.

Despite playing as a central defender in a back five, Mukiele remained a threat offensively and registered four successful crosses, grabbing an assist for Enzo Le Fee's equaliser.

The Frenchman was also reliable defensively and won nine duels.

Tosin Adarabioyo (Chelsea) - 8.4

Chelsea secured a 2-0 victory against Brentford on Saturday to ensure Liam Rosenior picked up his first Premier League win as manager.

Adarabioyo impressed despite only playing for an hour - making a staggering 13 clearances, two interceptions and winning four out of four aerial duels.

Cristian Romero (Tottenham) - 8.0

Romero shone again despite being on the losing side in Spurs' encounter with London rivals West Ham.

The Argentine netted his side's only goal with a superb header and did his job individually in defence - making five clearances, two interceptions and winning a match-high nine aerial duels.

Bashir Humphreys (Burnley) - 8.1

Another standout performer for Burnley was Humphreys, who helped his side come away with a point against Liverpool.

Humphreys excelled on the left side of a back three and made two tackles, five clearances and one interception - while also winning five duels. 

Midfielders

Declan Rice (Arsenal) - 8.1

Rice has been one of Flashscore's most consistent features in the Premier League Team of the Week and continued to impress with a fine showing in Arsenal's 0-0 draw with Nottingham Forest.

The Englishman created two big chances, completed one dribble, had one shot on target and contributed defensively with four clearances, one interception and six duels won in what turned out to be an exceptional all-round display.

Mateus Fernandes (West Ham) - 8.0

Fernandes has been one of the bright sparks in an otherwise dim season for West Ham so far and put in a top midfield performance in the Hammers' 2-1 victory over Spurs.

The Portuguese midfielder grabbed an assist for Summerville's opener and went on to help sure things up defensively with four interceptions, four clearances, two tackles and eight duels won.

Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) - 8.4

Manchester United surprised everyone with a fantastic performance in their 2-0 triumph against rivals Manchester City.

The Red Devils' star performer was Fernandes, who grabbed an assist on top of one successful dribble, three accurate crosses and four big chances created.

The captain's 8.4 Flashscore rating was the joint-highest across the weekend, and his huge influence on United's win makes him our Premier League Player of the Week.

Fowards

Crysencio Summerville (West Ham) - 8.2

As mentioned earlier, Summerville opened the scoring in West Ham's win against Tottenham.

The Dutchman was a consistent threat throughout the match and registered a match-high five shots.

His influence stretched beyond that, though, with Summerville also completing two dribbles and creating one big chance for his teammates.

Cody Gakpo (Liverpool) - 8.2

Gakpo was one of Liverpool's main offensive threats in their draw with Burnley.

The forward was a focal point in attack and had six shots, four of which were on target, while also having 13 touches in the opposition box and making 28 passes in the final third.

Patrick Dorgu (Manchester United) - 8.1

Dorgu was deployed on the wing for United's win over Manchester City, enjoying a productive afternoon at Old Trafford.

He netted his side's second goal with a superb first-time finish and remained a threat on the counter for much of the game.

The defender-turned-winger even contributed off the ball by winning 10 duels and making two tackles.
