After Filip Bundgaard seemed to sustain a serious injury in yesterday's friendly against the Polish outfit Piast Gliwice, Brondby's worst fears were confirmed on Monday when scans showed that the talented midfielder will be out of action for three months with a broken ankle.

Filip Bundgaard will miss a large part of Brondby's spring season.

The 21-year-old Brondby midfielder suffered a serious injury after a brutal tackle in a friendly against Polish side Piast Gliwice on Sunday evening, where he was substituted in the first half.

On Monday, a scan showed the worst possible outcome for the Copenhagen club as Bundgaard will be out of action for at least three months,

Filip Bundgaard has been an important player for Brondby in the autumn season, starting in 19 of 26 matches in all competitions. This has resulted in seven goals.

With the forecast of at least a three-month break, the young midfielder will probably only play a handful of matches more this season, which ends in mid-May.
