AGF preserved their position at the top of the Danish Superliga table when a very late comeback allowed them to come away from Brondby with a 3-3 draw, while FC Midtjylland, as expected, humiliated bottom-placed Vejle 5-0 in Herning. FC Nordsjaelland underlined their strength at home with a 1-0 win against Randers, while OB moved up to seventh spot in the Danish Superliga with a 2-1 win in Viborg.

Brondby - AGF

Brondby managed to put an end to AGF's impressive winning streak of eight successive wins, but the 3-3 draw on Sunday afternoon will surely have been a big disappointment to the home side after they led 3-1 four minutes. from the end.

Brondby coach Steve Cooper said after the game that he generally wasn't happy with the effort, even though his men led 2-0 and 3-1, and said the lead didn't reflect the match very well. AGF enjoyed the majority of possession throughout the match but still found themselves 2-0 down after 51 minutes, after Jacob Ambaek and Noah Nartey had given the hosts a solid lead.

Norwegian international playmaker Kristian Arnstad reduced the deficit after 68 minutes for AGF with a superb header, but just seconds later, Croatian defender Marko Divkovic restored the two-goal advantage for the home side.

Four minutes from the end, Brondby seemed well on the road towards securing what would have been one of their biggest wins of the season, but then Tobias Bech gave the visitors hope when he got on the end of a crisp delivery from Sebastian Jorgensen. And deep into injury time, the just 19-year-old Stefen Tchamche steered home a header from Felix Beijmo's superb cross to leave AGF with a hard-fought point, which will surely have felt like a win for the visitors.

FC Midtjylland - Vejle BK

Vejle were without a win in the Danish Superliga since 1 August when they won 5-1 at home against OB, and they weren't given many chances of staging an upset in Herning against FC Midtjylland, who usually don't give much away in their own familiar surroundings.

As expected, Vejle were put to the sword as it didn't last long for Mike Tullberg's Europa League contestants to stamp their authority on the match. After 31 minutes, the home side had already established a 4-0 lead against a side that seemed to have lost all confidence in the leadership of coach Ivan Prelec.

On two occasions, Valdemar Byskov found the net after superb deliveries from Chilean international striker Dario Osorio, and Franculino and Paulinho added to the scoreboard as the visitors were handed a virtual football lesson against an outfit that recently displayed their current great form by taking an unlikely win against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

The goal show continued after the break when Aral Simsir, for the third time on Sunday, turned provider, this time for Franculino, who scored his second goal of the night. Mikkel Duelund reduced the deficit to make it 1-5 after 73 minutes, which only had cosmetic importance for the final result.

A goal on the brink of halftime from Alexander Lind was enough to give FC Nordsjaelland all three points when they won 1-0 at home against Randers, who otherwise fashioned a host of chances throughout the match without being able to make the most of them.

After falling behind to Viborg through an early goal by Jakob Vester, OB took a vital step away from the bottom positions as they scored twice within the space of three minutes in the second half through Noah Ganaus and Jona Niemiec to record a hard-fought 2-1 win away against Viborg.

On Friday, FC Copenhagen lost vital points at the top of the league when they lost 3-1 in Silkeborg just four days before they will face Borussia Dortmund in the Parken Stadium in the Champions League.
