After playing at their second-ever World Cup in 2022, Canada will play in consecutive finals for the first time. On this occasion, they managed to qualify directly as co-hosts, alongside the United States and Mexico. Flashscore takes you through the full FIFA World Cup schedule for Canada.

The aim for Canada, who are now a top-30 nation in the FIFA rankings, will be more than to just claim a maiden victory in the finals. Playing in front of their home fans in Toronto and Vancouver, the Canucks will be looking for a spot in the knockout rounds.

It took the CONCACAF nation 36 years to return to the world stage, enduring some high moments and some low ones. Having won the Gold Cup in 2000, Canada suffered a humiliating 8-1 defeat to Honduras in qualification for the 2014 World Cup.

Now the nation is flying on a high, with their domestic game starting to take notice as well. This will be their chance to truly announce themselves to the football world with a strong performance on home soil.

Canada's opening match of the World Cup will be against Bosnia Herzegovina on Friday, June 12th, at BMO Field in Toronto, ON. The venue will be known as Toronto Stadium during the tournament for sponsorship reasons. A temporary stand was added to increase the capacity to 45,000 for the tournament. It is the home of Toronto FC in MLS, as well as AFC Toronto of the Northern Super League.

Canada's second and third group games, against Qatar on Thursday, June 18th, and versus Switzerland on Wednesday, June 24th, will occur at BC Place in Vancouver, BC. The 54,000-capacity venue is typically used by the Vancouver Whitecaps, who also play in MLS.
