Anthony Elanga will start up front alongside Viktor Gyokeres for Sweden's 2026 World Cup qualification play-off semi-final against Ukraine (20:45 CET).

Graham Potter has chosen to stick with the 4-4-2 system he deployed in his first two matches in charge in November, with the Newcastle United winger getting the nod to start alongside Gyokeres up front.

With Benjamin Nygren and Herman Johansson both starting, the presence of Elanga gives Blagult plenty of width, as Sweden look to make the most of the Arsenal target man who hasn't scored an international goal since 2024.

There was no surprise in goal, as the head coach had already shared that 36-year-old Kristoffer Nordfeldt will start between the posts, winning just his 19th cap since his debut in 2011.

Victor Lindelof returns to captain the side from the centre of defence where he will be alongside Isak Hien.

Goalkeeper: Kristoffer Nordfeldt

Defenders: Gustaf Lagerbielke, Isak Hien, Victor Lindelof (c), Gabriel Gudmundsson

Midfielders: Herman Johansson, Yasin Ayari, Jesper Karlstrom, Benjamin Nygren

Forwards: Anthony Elanga, Viktor Gyokeres
