Clara Tauson could face the American Madison Keys, who won the Australian Open, if she makes it to the fourth round of the WTA 1000 event in Miami.

Tauson, who has had a sensational start to the season, has moved up to No 20 in the world rankings and has a bye in the first round. She should also be able to make it past the second round where she is set to meet Julia Grabher from Austrian who is currently No 373 in the world.

Grabher's position in the rankings is, however, a bit misleading as she she suffered a wrist injury and was therefore forced to end her season leading up to the US Open in 2023.

It took her six months to recover full fitness and since then her results have lacked stability. This season, she had won just one match before the win against the American teenager Tyra Caterina Grant in the first round in Miami.

Julia Grabher won the 2022 WTA 125 tournament Bari Open, but otherwise is still looking for her first title at a high level. Her highest position in the world ranking is number 54.

Should Tauson win against Grabner, she is likely to meet Spain's Paula Badosa before this year's women's Australian Open winner, Madison Keys, could be the opponent in the fourth round.

Holger Rune will meet the winner of the match between Reilly Opelka or Christopher Eubanks in his first match.
