21:14 CET - Andrey Rublev has breezed into next week with a comfortable 6-1, 6-2 victory over Miomir Kecmanovic in just 59 minutes. Elsewhere, Ekaterina Alexandrova has beaten Belinda Bencic - another top 10 seed to fall this week - 7-6, 6-3.

20:52 CET -  Sorana Cirstea continues her impressive run in Miami with another straight sets win - this time over Karolina Muchova. The Romanian, who knocked out world number four Caroline Garcia in the last round, won in 92 minutes by a scoreline of 7-5, 6-1.

20:06 CET - Diego Schwartzman was unable to prevent Holger Rune from advancing in Miami as the Norwegian eased past the Argentine in straight sets, winning out 6-4, 6-2.

19:45 CET - Bianca Andreescu has made her way through to the second week in Miami with a straight sets victory over Sofia Kenin, beating her 6-4, 6-4.

17:48 CET - Local Tommy Paul progressed to the last eight as he triumphed over Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 3-6, 5-7.

17:24 CET - Russian Varvara Gracheva moved swiftly to the quarter-finals after defeating Pole Magdalena Frech 1-6, 2-6.

17:06 CET - Marketa Vondrousova comfortably brushed off Karolina Pliskova, achieving a 6-1, 6-2 win in less than an hour.

6:29 CET - Elena Rybakina reached the Miami Open quarter-finals as she got past Paula Badosa after a trying contest 3-6, 7-5, 6-3.

Elise Mertens will be following the Kazakh into the last eight after her victory over Petra Martic by 6-4, 6-3.

Meanwhile, in the men's tour, Indian Wells runner up Daniil Medvedev who had a brilliant form until his previous final is looking for redemption on the other USA coast. The Russian reaches the last 16 after a comfortable win against Roberto Carballes Baena; 6-1, 6-2.

Other overnight victories were celebrated by Frances Tiafoe after a hard-fought triumph against Yosuke Watanuki, Gregoire Barrere as he upset Briton Cameron Norrie and finally, Adrian Mannarino over Ben Shelton.

Hubert Hurkacz defeated also defeated an ever-relentless Thanasi Kokkinakis in a three-and-a-half-hour long contest, 6-7, 7-6, 7-6.
