There was no shortage of drama in the UEFA Conference League as the knockout round play-offs came to a conclusion. Here is one stat from each of the 16 sides that took the field on Thursday night.

Celje outlast Drita as Fiorentina escape

24 - Celje and Drita combined for 10 goals across their knockout playoff tie, with the Slovenians replicating the 3-2 result they achieved the week prior. Rumeno-modri will play in the round of 16 for the second year running, which is an impressive feat for them. Svit Seslar's brace in the first half played a role for them as they were able to hold firm in the second half to advance. In what was their fifth two-legged tie in Europe this term, Celje have scored a whopping 24 times in those games.

17 - History-makers Drita will depart the UECL for this season, but can be quite pleased with their performances in the tournament this season. They became the first team from Kosovo to get this far in a UEFA club competition, and will surely be back in 2026/27 if they continue playing like this. After all, it was not like they gave up in this tie at all. In Thursday's match, they outshot Celje, mustering a total of 17 shots.

7 - Rijeka exact revenge Omonia Nicosia for their 2006/07 UEFA Cup elimination by topping the Cypriot side 3-1 at home to complete a 4-1 aggregate win. Coming from behind in the decider, Toni Fruk's second half double put the tie beyond doubt to secure a maiden round of 16 appearance in the UECL for the club. The Croats have conceded just thrice in the Conference League proper as they are making themselves hard to break down. In four head-to-heads with Omonoia, they have scored seven times though.

4 - Just as was the case in 2024/25, Omonoia falter at the knockout playoffs of the UECL. The league leaders in Cyprus had the tie level, but fell apart in the second half to be ousted. All four goals scored by Rijeka across both legs were done after half-time, which has to be seen as a disappointment for the Nicosia-based team. Not only did Omonoia concede four times over the two legs, they also remain winless in the UECL knockout rounds after four attempts (0-1-3).

11 - Samsunspor's maiden run in Europe continues after their comfortable 4-0 defeat of Shkendija. Olivier Ntcham's penalty shortly after the interval started the onslaught as the Turks added three more after that to finish off their North Macedonian counterparts. They become the fourth club from Turkiye to make it to the last 16, with only a few nations boasting more. Samsunspor have scored 11 times across their home games in the competition so far.

6 - Like some of the others eliminated on Thursday, Shkendija can take pride in their UECL showing. After all, they did what no other North Macedonian club had done before them - qualify for the knockout stages. It is back to domestic football for them now, as they try to chase down rivals Vardar for the title. Scoring proved to be a problem for the club from Tetovo, who were held off the scoreboard on six occasions in Europe this term.

3 - It was the great escape for Fiorentina, who had to count on two goals in extra time to see off Jagiellonia Bialystok. La Viola lost 4-2 on the night, but progressed 5-4 overall. They are back in the last 16 of the Conference League, qualifying for the fourth time in a row. However, matches at home to Polish clubs have proven to be troublesome for the Italians, with this being the third time they have been defeated.

10 - Despite the arduous task at hand, Jagiellonia did not give up, scoring thrice in the first hour to leave the fans at the Artemio Franchi nervous. The Poles were unable to do more after that though, as they conceded in seven minutes to falter. They will be pleased with their performance, pushing the competition's regulars to an extra 30 minutes. In total, they had 15 attempts, but more impressively, 10 of them were on target.

Sigma edge Lausanne in huge result

13 - Lausanne-Sport fell behind twice at home to Sigma Olomouc in their return leg. While they were able to tie things up the first time, the second goal proved to be one too many. The Swiss side exited the UECL with the 2-1 reverse on the night and 3-2 aggregate score. It will have to be seen as a missed opportunity to make it through, given the chances they created. Still winless in six versus Czech sides, Lausanne have conceded 13 times in those matches.

34 - Football can be such a fascinating sport sometimes. Sigma were moments away from elimination on matchday 6, only scraping through thanks to a 105th-minute penalty in a different match. Now they have edged Lausanne in a close tie to make it through. The Czechs breathed a sigh of relief in stoppage time when a goal thought to be the leveller was called back for offside. They can now enjoy a first round of 16 appearance in 34 years, when they did so in the UEFA Cup.

9 - After suffering a shock first leg defeat, AZ turned things around at home. Two goals in each half helped them top FC Noah 4-0 and advance 4-1 across the two legs of football. Sven Mijnans scored twice for the sole Eredivisie team left in Europe as they make the round of 16 in the UECL for the third time. While the Alkmaar club have scored quite often this season, they have impressed defensively. This is already their ninth clean sheet in continental play in 2025/26, including qualifiers.

1 - It was always going to be an incredibly difficult ask for Noah to recreate the magic they did in Armenia last week. Conceding just five minutes in, there was not much hope for them to find the back of the net, something only one team have managed to do versus AZ on the road this term. Noah are out of Europe, but their success in the first leg was huge for Armenian football. With that said, they managed only one shot on target in the deciding match.

2 - Crystal Palace were given a solid challenge by Zrinjski, who defended for the whole 90 minutes. In the end, Maxence Lacroix and Evann Guessand found a way through their opponents to help the Eagles to a 2-0 success on the night and a 3-1 aggregate win. Palace's maiden European journey continues to the last 16, despite the bumpy road there. This was the second time Oliver Glasner's side kept a clean sheet at home in the UECL, with the other coming in the playoff round.

5 - Unlike Borac last campaign, Zrinjski could not successfully negotiate the knockout playoffs in what was always a tall order. The Bosnians did not have a single shot on target at Selhurst Park in a defensive test for the Bosnians. Their European journey is over, with the focus returning to domestic football. The side from Mostar ran into problems on the road, with this being the fifth straight game they did not score on their travels.

16 - Pablo Rodriguez was the only player to convert his chance as Lech Poznan made it to the last 16 thanks to a 1-0 defeat of KuPS Kuopio, completing a 3-0 aggregate victory. The Poles reached this stage three years ago en route to the quarter-finals. They are one step closer to returning to the final eight. As expected, they dominated the two legs and will be satisfied with the result. At home, they had 16 attempts on goal.

12 - KuPS' struggles against Polish opposition continued in this tie, as they failed to create enough goalscoring opportunities to change the outcome. The Finnish side, who have not played a league match in 2026, will learn from their UECL experience and will push to be playing league phase football again next fall. Across seven games versus Polish slubs, they have not won any of them, conceding 12 times in the process.
