Roma were victorious in the capital derby thanks to a previously out-of-favour player, while 10-man Chelsea suffered a damaging defeat at Man Utd. As usual, here are our Winners and Losers of the weekend.

Winner: Lorenzo Pellegrini

The midfielder had last played for Roma, the team of which he is the captain, on May 4. Yesterday, he was picked to start by Gian Piero Gasperini, and the Italian rewarded his manager's faith in some style.

Pellegrini was crucial in the triumph over Lazio, netting the only goal of the game to put himself firmly back into the fans' hearts.

Loser: Fiorentina

Two points in four matches is a disappointing return for a team expected to challenge for the European spots. The latest defeat for Fiorentina, at home to Como on Sunday, was a tough one to take, as supporters protested after the final whistle amid their desperate start to the season.

Winner: Erling Haaland

Having reached 50 goals in the Champions League in midweek, becoming the youngest man to do so in just 49 games, the Norwegian reaffirmed his status as the Premier League's most clinical frontman by scoring after just nine minutes in the clash with Arsenal

The Gunners' late equaliser did not diminish yet another standout display from the Scandinavian, who is looking back to his very best this campaign.

Loser: Girona

An emphatic 4-0 home loss to Levante was a sign of the Catalans' terrible form and poor emotional state. The sendings off of Axel Witsel and Victor Reis also spoke volumes of a group that has collected just one point in the league so far and looks to be in crisis.

Winner: Harry Kane

A hat-trick to lead Bayern Munich to an impressive win at Hoffenheim, allowing the Bavarians to maintain their winning start to the Bundesliga. The Englishman is already the league's top scorer with eight goals in total, twice as many as Serhou Guirassy in second.

Loser: Robert Sanchez

A moment of madness from Sanchez after just four minutes left Chelsea a man short in their huge clash at Old Trafford against Manchester United.

The Blues went on to concede twice in the first half, and that proved to be costly, as despite a second-half response, they were unable to salvage a draw, leaving them seven points off the summit.

Winner: Noah Atubolu

The Freiburg goalkeeper made Bundesliga history after saving his fifth consecutive penalty. This time, the victim was Werder Bremen's Romano Schmid, as Atubolu's side eased to a superb 3-0 away triumph.

Loser: Russell Martin

Rangers' 2-0 win in the League Cup playoff at home to Hibernian did little to change the mood of the supporters inside Ibrox, who protested by throwing objects onto the pitch.

It comes as a result of Martin's dreadful start, with the 39-year-old only picking up four points from five matches in the league, but the club has made it clear that they cannot sack the former Scotland international at the moment.
