The 2025/26 UEFA Women's Champions League is about to commence under a new format. Below is everything you need to know about who has qualified, when the next draw is and all the key dates for the upcoming season.

The next Women's Champions League draw & where to watch

The draw for the inaugural league phase of the Women's Champions League took place on September 19th in Nyon, Switzerland.

Eighteen teams went into the draw and will be split into three pots of six teams based on UEFA's club coefficient rankings. The defending champions, Arsenal, are automatically listed as the top seed in Pot 1.

The 18 teams will be manually drawn one at a time, with a computer-generated system determining all 18 teams' opponents and home/away locations.

Each side gets two opponents from each of the six pots, with one home and one away match from each pot. Teams cannot face opponents from their own association, and could only be drawn against a maximum of two sides from the same association.

The next draw in the Women's Champions League will take place after the league phase finishes, for the knockout playoffs, on December 18th.

You will be able to watch the draws live on UEFA.com.

UEFA Women's Champions League format explained

The first season under a brand-new format, the UEFA Women's Champions League mirrors the men's club competitions with the introduction of a league phase involving 18 teams.

The 18 clubs will play six matches at this stage, three at home and three away. At the conclusion of the league phase, the top four teams will qualify directly for the quarter-finals. The sides finishing fifth through 12th will enter the knockout round playoffs. As for the bottom six teams, they will be eliminated from the competition.

The knockout round playoffs will feature home-and-away play, with the four winners joining the top four clubs from the league phase in the quarter-finals. The top four teams will be seeded in the quarter-finals, ensuring they play the second leg at home.
