New York Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton crushed his 450th career home run on Saturday night against the Baltimore Orioles.

Stanton's 21st of the season came off Orioles starting pitcher Tomoyuki Sugano in the top of the first inning. It is Stanton's 15th career home run against the O's.

He leaps Hall of Famers Jeff Bagwell and Vladimir Guerrero into 41st all-time. He'll need three more to surpass Carl Yastrzemski.

The 35-year-old came into Saturday's game slashing .267/.339/.564 with 20 home runs and 53 RBI in 69 games this season. Stanton originally missed the first two-and-a-half months of the season due to tendinitis in both elbows.

During his 16-year career, Stanton has never hit less than 20 home runs in a season (70 games minimum). He's hit 30+ in seven of those years, two with the Yankees (2021-2022).

New York (86-66) sits 3.0 games behind the Toronto Blue Jays for the American East division lead. They currently hold the top Wild Card spot in the AL with seven games left in the regular season.
