Milwaukee Brewers' Jacob Misiorowski clocked a 104.5 miles per hour fastball in the first inning of Friday's matchup against the Philadelphia Phillies, making it the faster ever by a starting pitcher in MLB history.

Misiorowski, 24, struck out 2025 National League home run champion Kyle Schwarber after painting the corner with some stinky cheese.

Through the first four innings of work during the game, Misiorowski struckout nine of the 12 batters he's faced on just 42 pitches (34 strikes).

After striking out Schwarber in the first, Misiorowksi also downed future Hall of Famer Bryce Harper on just three pitches, including a 104 mph fastball.

The 2025 rookie All-Star is on the path to earning his first Cy Young Award this season. He currently leads all pitchers with both a jaw-dropping 1.50 earned run average and 116 strikeouts in 13 starts.

Misiorowski also leads the league in WHIP (0.808) and hits per nine innings (4.7), as he's given up just 41 hits and 22 walks through 78 innings this season.

His stats are a drastic increase from what he finished with his rookie season, when he tossed a 4.36 ERA with a 1.242 WHIP.

The Milwaukee Brewers are currently atop the National League Central division with a 41-25 record, third-best in the MLB.

They'll wrap up their three-game series with the Phillies on June 14th.
