Denmark gave the spectators in the Jyske Bank Boxen a superb appetizer for the semi-final against Iceland on Friday when they crushed Norway 38-24

Denmark already led by three at the break, and they increased the gap during the second half, taking it to a maximum of 14 goals in the 57th minute.

Nikolaj Jakobsen rotated his team in the second half, giving some of the lesser names a chance to shine, but Denmark still remained the better team on the court, as well as in their main round group, in which they finished first.

Thomas Arnoldsen, who suffered a fibula fracture in the fall, made his way to the team this morning and played his first game in three months last week with his club’s B-team.

Arnoldsen was only handed a couple of minutes on Wednesday night, but showed that he was ready to play at the EHF EURO. With three goals and a couple of incredible assists, the 24-year-old proved that he can bring some freshness to the Danish team ahead of the final weekend — and also cause some damage to their opponents.

Emil Jakobsen and Mathias Gidsel both scored seven goals for Denmark, and Gidsel was voted as Player of the Match. Both Danish goalkeepers also had a decent day, with 10 saves for Emil Nielsen and four from seven for Kevin Møller when he came in late in the game.

Denmark limited the shooting power of Norway's leading scorers, but August Pedersen and Tobias Grøndahl both managed to net six times.
