Another weekend is behind us which means it's time for another edition of Flashscore's Team of the Week. Mateo Retegui (25) was the star on the continent with four goals for Atalanta in Serie A but who else made our selection?

As always, we have chosen our XI using Flashscore's internal player-rating system. Check out our latest Team of the Week below:

Goalkeeper

Lukas Hradecky (Bayer Leverkusen) 8.4

Finnish keeper Lukas Hradecky has been a titan between the sticks for German champions Bayer Leverkusen and he continued that on the weekend against Wolfsburg, making eight saves to keep a clean sheet.

Unfortunately for Hradecky, his teammates couldn't do the rest of the job as Leverkusen slumped to a goalless draw that leaves them now trailing Bayern Munich by eight points in the Bundesliga standings.

Defenders

Javier Rodriguez (Celta Vigo) 8.7

Celta Vigo broke a terrible run of form over the weekend when they edged Real Betis 3-2 in LaLiga after trailing 2-0 at half-time.

Key to the Galician's incredible comeback was young Spanish defender Javier Rodriguez who scored their second goal on top of making five clearances, three blocks, two interceptions and four tackles in the match.

Mouctar Diakhaby (Valencia) 8.6

Troubled LaLiga outfit Valencia got an all-important three points on Sunday after beating relegation-rivals Leganes 2-0 to move closer to safety.

Integral for Los Che was centre-back Mouctar Diakhaby who scored his side's second goal, made two clearances and a tackle in the vital win.

Jose Gomes (Nacional) 9.1

Portuguese left-back Jose Gomes shone for Nacional in Liga Portugal on Sunday, scoring a brace as the Madeira-based club beat Farense 2-0 to climb further away from the relegation zone.

It was a crazy game with both sides receiving red cards but Jose Gomes rose above the chaos to score with two fine finishes.

Midfielders

Roger Fernandes (Braga) 9.1

Staying in Portugal, teenager Roger Fernandes starred for Braga in their 2-0 win over Gil Vincente. The 19-year-old scored both of his side's goals as the club went level on points with giants FC Porto.

Playing off the right, Fernandes impressed with his pace and three key passes but his first-half strike will be what the fans will remember most fondly.

Oihan Sancet (Athletic Club) 9.2

It was impossible to leave out Oihan Sancet from our team this week, the Athletic Club midfielder scored all three of his side's goals as they downed Girona 3-0 to keep up with the top dogs in Spain's LaLiga.

It's only just past halfway in the season and Sancet already has his highest tally of league goals in his career with 11. His hat-trick pushed him past his previous best (10). Some season he's having!

Paulo Dybala (Roma) 9.0

Another creative player that shone over the weekend was Roma's diminutive Argentina star Paulo Dybala. He scored the Romans' only goal from the spot as they edged Venezia 1-0 on Sunday in Serie A for a much-needed win.

Not only did Dybala score the decisive goal but he contributed three key passes, created one big chance and won four duels.

Rayan Cherki (Lyon) 8.8

Lyon lit up Ligue 1 on Sunday with a thumping 4-0 win over Reims to keep up their European charge in style. No man was as influential in the win as Rayan Cherki, who played a part in all three of OL's second-half goals, scoring once and assisting twice.

Cherki was very close to leaving the club in the January transfer window, they'll be pleased he didn't but with performances like these, he may yet have some suitors in the summer.

Forwards

Oskar Zawada (Waalwijk) 9.1

Moving to the Dutch Eredivisie, relegation-threatened Waalwijk got a valuable three points on the weekend by battering NAC Breda 5-0 at home. It was quite a statement from the lowly club and their star man was Polish forward Oskar Zawada, who scored in each half.

A journeyman striker, Zawada was playing in the A-League last season and has featured in Korea, Germany and his native Poland. With nine goals already this season, he might just keep Waalwijk up but they'll need more wins like this.

Mateo Retegui (Atalanta) 9.5

The leading rating across Europe's top leagues over the weekend was gained by Atalanta striker Mateo Retegui who notched not one, not two, not three, but four goals in his side's 5-0 thrashing of Verona in Serie A!

By half-time, the Argentina-born Italy international already had his hat-trick in Verona and he added one more in the second half to make it 20 league goals for the season and counting. After joining La Dea from Genoa in the summer, Retegui has gone from strength to strength and is one of the world's in-form forwards right now.

Myron Boadu (Bochum) 9.2

Finishing up back in the Bundesliga, rock-bottom Bochum earned themselves a point on the road against relegation rivals Holstein Kiel on Sunday and key to that was Dutch forward Myron Boadu.

Boadu scored a brace of goals in two minutes in the first half before going off injured just before the break. It was a bitter pill to swallow for the forward who had to watch his side relinquish their lead but that point might prove to be invaluable later in the season.
