Tuesday, May 27th

21:45 CET - Yulia Putintseva is safely through in the French capital after edging a tense opening set to defeat Solana Sierra 7-6(4), 6-2.

Meanwhile, on the men's side of the tournament, Matteo Arnaldi has come out on top in a five-set epic against Felix Auger-Aliassime, with the Italian coming from two sets down to win 5-7, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-2.

21:19 CET - Teenage star Joao Fonseca has secured a mightily impressive first-round victory in Paris, with the Brazilian outclassing 30th seed Hubert Hurkacz in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4, 6-2.

20:22 CET - Lois Boisson is the latest woman through in Paris, with the French wildcard defeating 24th seed Elise Mertens 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 in two hours and 10 minutes.

19:28 CET - After a wobbly first set, Jack Draper found some quality tennis to overcome the entertaining Mattia Bellucci, claiming a 3-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-2 win. The fifth seed is having a brilliant season, and he has now won his first-ever match at the French Open.

Meanwhile, last week's Hamburg champion, Flavio Cobolli, continued his good form with a 6-2, 6-1, 6-3 thumping of former US Open champion Marin Cilic.

19:16 CET - Andrey Rublev has sealed his spot in the next round after recovering from a second-set wobble to defeat Lloyd Harris 6-4, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.

18:10 CET  - Jakub Mensik was involved in a real tussle with Alexandre Muller and the French crowd, but the Czech, who is enjoying a great season, got the better of his opponent, 7-5, 6-7(5), 7-5, 6-3.

Medvedev mounted a comeback from two sets down, and even served for the match at 5-4. 14:57 CET - Alexander Bublik and Anhelina Kalinina were both victorious in Paris, moving on into the second round.
