22:37 CET - That is that from Wimbledon today! Make sure you are back tomorrow for some more third-round action!

22:20 CET - After a bit of a slow start, third seed Felix Auger-Aliassime has steamrolled into the Wimbledon fourth round for the first time since 2021, after beating Michael Zheng 7-6(1), 6-1, 6-2.

Once the roof closed, Zheng could not handle the Canadian, and Auger-Aliassime will face Alejandro Davidovich Fokina next.

20:48 CET - Coco Gauff has survived another real scare, overcoming fellow American Claire Liu, 6-3, 6-7(5), 6-2 in two and a half hours.

Gauff failed to take three match points in the second set, but Liu was simply let down by her 57 unforced errors compared to Gauff's 29.

19:58 CET - Almost simultaneously, Czech duo Karolina Muchova and former champion Barbora Krejcikova won their respective matches in straight sets to progress at Wimbledon.

19:49 CET - World number one Aryna Sabalenka has soared into the fourth round at Wimbledon, claiming a comfortable 6-4, 6-4 win over Jelena Ostapenko.

Sabalenka was in cruise control throughout and was extremely efficient, hitting 19 winners to just six unforced errors. She faces Naomi Osaka next in a heavyweight encounter.

19:07 CET - 2021 semi-finalist Hubert Hurkacz has shown his grass-court prowess, claiming a superb 4-6, 7-6(5), 7-5, 6-2 win over 21st seed Tommy Paul.

The Pole hit 20 aces and 45 winners, and was far too strong on serve for Paul, winning in three hours and 15 minutes. He faces Jan-Lennard Struff next.

18:15 CET - Daniil Medvedev's struggles at Grand Slams show no sign of slowing down, after the former US Open champion fell to a 6-7(4), 6-7(5), 5-7 defeat to Jan-Lennard Struff in the third round.

Medvedev led 5-2 in the second and third sets, and had his chances to get on top of Struff. However, his German opponent fought back on both occasions to reach the last 16 in London for the very first time.

17:55 CET - Almost at exactly the same time, Novak Djokovic and defending champion Jannik Sinner have booked their spots in the last 16 of Wimbledon.

Djokovic was given a stern test from Arthur Rinderknech, and was very close to being pushed into a fifth set. However, some great serving in the tiebreak saw him over the line and into the fourth round, 7-5, 6-4, 1-6, 7-6(4). He continues his quest for a historic 25th Grand Slam title.

Meanwhile, Sinner had little issue against Jenson Brooksby, winning 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 in two hours and 15 minutes. The Italian looked far better after a sluggish start to the tournament, but it seems he has some more gears to go before hitting top form.

17:43 CET - Shintaro Mochizuki's dream run as a qualifier continues at Wimbledon, clinching the biggest win of his career after a stunning 1-6, 7-6(5), 6-4, 6-4 victory over 23rd seed and one of tennis' most highly regarded talents, Rafa Jodar.

Ranked 151st in the world, he is into the second week of a Grand Slam for the very first time, and made the most of his opponent's 52 unforced errors to progress. An incredible result.

16:50 CET - Iva Jovic has booked her place in the fourth round after coming through a three-set battle against Ekaterina Alexandrova, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. The teenage sensation came into SW19 in good form after an impressive run to the Queen's Club semi-final, and she has kept that confidence going into the tournament.

A victory against a player with a similar seeding will give her the belief that she can hold her own and go deep.

15:35 CET - Jessica Pegula continues to look in excellent form on the grass this year, coasting to a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Jessica Bouzas Maneiro to move into the last 16.

Many people have her as a real contender to win her maiden Grand Slam title here at Wimbledon, and her next opponent will either be fellow American Iva Jovic or Ekaterina Alexandrova as she marches on.

15:14 CET - Four-time major champion Naomi Osaka has ruthlessly dispatched Daria Kasatkina, booking her spot in the fourth round with a 6-1, 6-3 win in an hour and 10 minutes.

If Aryna Sabalenka wins later today, yet another Sabalenka vs Osaka match-up this year is set!

15:02 CET - Last year's semi-finalist Belinda Bencic has won an incredible rollercoaster contest against Anna Kalinskaya, getting the better of her opponent 6-4, 4-6, 7-6(10-6) in just under three hours.

The 2020 Olympic Gold medalist was unable to shake off Kalinskaya in the final set, squandering a break-of-serve advantage twice before eventually getting over the line in a deciding tiebreak.

14:21 CET - The first result of the day has seen a major shock, with 24th seed Joao Fonseca falling to a 3-6, 3-6, 3-6 defeat at the hands of world number 132, Roman Safiullin.

Safiullin was absolutely exceptional, producing a sensational display to dump out the 19-year-old starlet. He hit 41 winners and made just 18 unforced errors, summing up how good he was.

The qualifier's best result at a major came back in 2023, when he reached the quarter-finals of Wimbledon. He has never been past the second round of any other major. He clearly loves this tournament, and he faces a potential fourth-round clash with Novak Djokovic!

12:00 CET - The third round is getting underway now with players heading out onto the outside courts. Remember, the action begins on No. 1 Court at 14:00 CET and Centre Court at 14:30 CET.

09:00 CET - Good morning and welcome to the third round at Wimbledon 2026! In what promises to be a fascinating Friday at SW19, rising star Joao Fonseca gets the day started from 12:00 CET as he takes on Roman Safiullin.

On the women's side of the draw, there is a fascinating early game between two top seeds, Belinda Bencic and Anna Kalinskaya - that is one you don't want to miss!

11th seed Bencic goes into the match as the slight favourite after a dominant start to her competition, but Kalinskaya will be no walkover and it promises to be an epic battle.

Other big names in action today include seven-time champion Novak Djokovic, reigning champion Jannik Sinner, world number one Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff.
