Week 5 of the NFL season will host seven inter-conference matchups and just one more divisional matchup following the thrilling Thursday night game between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams!
The AFC and NFC split their Week 4 matchups 4-4. The NFC currently leads the AFC 13-7 in inter-conference matchups heading into Week 5.
Now, let's not waste any more time and get into the previews!
And be sure to check out who our experts picked this week.
Minnesota Vikings (-3.5) vs. Cleveland Browns
After their loss to the Steelers in Ireland, the Vikings are heading over to London to take on the Browns in the third international game of the 2025 season.
Fans could be in for a low-scoring affair as the Browns have the No. 1 defence while the Vikings boast the No. 6 defence. And it's no different on the opposite side of the ball.
Both Cleveland and Minnesota have a bottom-10 offence. However, the Browns have only put up 23 points in the past two games to the Vikings' 69, making the game's 36.5 over-under the lowest of any other game in Week 5.
Dallas Cowboys (-1.5) @ New York Jets
Dallas is rolling off the 2025 NFL season's first tie with the No. 1 offence and the No. 32 defence. Meanwhile, the Jets are still looking for not only their first win of the season, but their first forced turnover as well.
New York remains the only NFL team heading into Week 5 without a single forced fumble or interception. Now, they'll be facing a Cowboys team that has turned the ball over six times this season (tied for third most).
Both the Cowboys and the Jets have scored at least 20 points in three of their four games this season, so it's only right that their over-under is set at 48.5 this week.
New York Giants @ New Orleans Saints (-2.5)
Giants are riding high after their first win of the season, led by rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart. As for the other side, New Orleans is coming off back-to-back losses by at least two scores.
Neither team stands out in any way. They're both in the bottom half of the league in both offence and defence. Both teams have forced three turnovers and committed three so far this season.
New Orleans hasn't thrown for over 220 yards in a game, New York has only done so once, and they lost that game. Neither has a running back who has rushed for over 100 yards in a game.
Not one of the prettier matchups in Week 5.
Las Vegas Raiders @ Indianapolis Colts (-6.5)
While the Raiders are coming off three straight losses, the last two in which they scored 24 points respectively, rookie running back Ashton Jeanty has surged his way into the Rookie of the Year running after a stellar Week 4 performance.
Las Vegas has remained in the bottom half of the league in just about every statistic. Meanwhile, the Colts rock the No. 4 offence in the league behind two MVP candidates of their own in quarterback Daniel Jones and the league's leading rusher in Jonathan Taylor.
The historic matchup record between the two teams sits at 11-11. So whoever wins gets bragging rights until next time.
Miami Dolphins (-1.5) @ Carolina Panthers
Yet another matchup where neither team ranks in the top half of the league in most statistics. Miami logged their first win of the season last week against a now 0-4 Jets team. Carolina is coming off a brutal 42-13 loss to the Patriots, despite putting up more yards, first downs, fewer penalties, and more time of possession.
Carolina started their 2024 season 1-4 as well, which led to a 5-12 record. Miami, on the other hand, who also started 1-4 last season, finished 8-9.
Take that as you will, especially now that the Dolphins will be without star wide receiver Tyreek Hill for the rest of the season.
Denver Broncos @ Philadelphia Eagles (-4.5)
Oddly enough, despite their 2-2 record, Denver has both a top-10 offence and top-10 defence, and are tied for first in sacks (15). However, they're in the bottom half in points (17th).
As for the undefeated Eagles, they currently have the 30th-ranked offence, 22nd-ranked defence, are 20th in scoring and 29th in sacks with five.
However, they're with the Buffalo Bills, also undefeated, and Kansas City Chiefs, who they beat, as the only three teams to have committed just one turnover this season. All of their wins have been decided by seven points or less - just like the Broncos in three of their four games.
Denver could undoubtedly be undefeated this season if not for two losses to game-ending field goals.
Houston Texans (-1.5) @ Baltimore Ravens
Throw a dart at the Ravens roster and it'll probably land on one of their starters who are out for this game, including star quarterback Lamar Jackson.
For Texans QB C.J. Stroud, who just admitted this past week that he's slower than he used to be, despite being 23 years old, it's a perfect chance for his team to put up their second straight win.
Baltimore has only ever started a season 1-4 after the first five weeks once - in 2015 when they finished with a 5-11 record.
Tennessee Titans @ Arizona Cardinals (-7.5)
Two of the bottom five offences and two of the bottom ten defences clash in this matchup as both look to end their losing streaks.
Tennessee are still looking for their first win of the season. Arizona is looking to get back on track before a very difficult schedule ahead of them.
Neither team has scored more than 20 points a game the last two weeks so the over-under is set at 41.5 for the matchup.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Seattle Seahawks (-3.5)
Probably what some would consider the game of the day come Sunday. In a sea of awful matchups, the Bucs will look to bounce back from Week 4's close loss to the Eagles.
Seattle is on extra rest after their Thursday night win over the Cardinals last week as both teams enter the matchup 3-1.
The Seahawks are the only team in the NFL to not allow a single rushing touchdown this season. And with Bucky Irving out for the Bucs this week, that rushing attack might be nonexistent come Sunday.
Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield might look to put up his first 300-yard game of the season.
Detroit Lions (-9.5) @ Cincinnati Bengals
The No. 1 scoring offence (DET) against the No. 27 scoring defence (CIN) could prove disastrous for the Bengals.
Detroit is coming off a week where they put up 34 points on the No. 1 defence in football. With Joe Burrow out for the Bengals, who have failed to score more than 10 points the past two weeks, it's going to be a gigantic uphill battle all game long.
The over-under for the game is set at 49.5.
Washington Commanders @ Los Angeles Chargers (-2.5)
Commanders starting quarterback Jayden Daniels returns this week for a crucial game against the 3-1 Chargers.
Los Angeles is rocking a top-10 offence and top-three defence this season, while racking up the fifth-most sacks (13).
Washington will have their hands full, but they've put up at least 27 points in three straight weeks heading into the matchup. The Chargers, on the other hand, haven't put up more than 27 points once this season.
New England Patriots @ Buffalo Bills (-7.5)
In the only other divisional matchup in Week 5, the Buffalo Bills will look to stay undefeated against a Pats team that just put up a season-best 42 points.
Bills have the No. 2 offence and the No. 9 offence. They've only turned the ball over once. And they have the No. 1 pass defence.
The saving grace for the Patriots is their No. 3 run defence, which will be up against a running back in James Cook who has at least 100 yards on the ground in each game over the past three weeks.
The over-under is set at 49.5.
Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5) @ Jacksonville Jaguars
In what could actually prove to be a great Monday night game, the Jaguars are looking to go 4-1 to start the season for the first time since 2007 - they finished that year with an 11-5 record.
They have a top-10 offence, while their defence has forced more turnovers (13) than any other team in the league.
Kansas City, on the other hand, has only committed one turnover this season and have scored 59 points in their past two games. Granted, they were against two of the four worst defences (Baltimore Ravens -31st, New York Giants - 29th).
So they'll be tested this time around against a much better Jaguars defence.
The over-under is set at 45.5.
