Danish national team coach Brian Riemer said he was pleased with the draw after Denmark (who must qualify through the playoff phase) were pitted against Mexico, South Africa, and South Korea in Group A in the World Cup draw.

"It was a special experience. I've always said that the advantage of this seeding in group A is that you can draw a host nation. These are countries that are not normally there. So in that way, we had a little luck in terms of avoiding Spain, France, Argentina, and Brazil. In addition, I think the group looks interesting. There are possibilities", said Brian Riemer to dr.dk

What do you think about potentially playing in Mexico?

"I've used references to the players many times, in relation to Mexico. It started a historic journey for Denmark (in 1986), and we have the opportunity to qualify for the third successive World Cup, and to have to play in a legendary stadium."

"We HAVE to qualify. We have a good chance. The margins are small, and we have all eyes on North Macedonia, where we have to live up to our very best", says Brian Riemer.
