It's time for the first couple of quarter-finals in Beijing, with Coco Gauff, Eva Lys, Amanda Anisimova and Jasmine Paolini all battling for a spot in the last four, while the first-round ATP action continues in Shanghai.

12:55 CET - Jesper De Jong is through in Shanghai after a hard-fought 6-7(1), 6-2, 7-6(3) triumph over home favourite Yi Zhou.

French duo Arthur Cazaux and Valentin Royer have also progressed to the next round.

10:58 CET - Benjamin Bonzi has progressed to the next round in Shanghai after beating Reilly Opelka 7-6(2), 6-4, while Christopher O'Connell and Kamil Majchrzak have also advanced.

10:49 CET - Second seed and defending champion Coco Gauff is through to the semi-finals in Beijing after an impressive 6-3, 6-4 victory over Germany's Eva Lys.

The American will face either compatriot Amanda Anisimova or Jasmine Paolini in the last four.

09:13 CET - Jenson Brooksby and Nuno Borges are through in Shanghai after straight-set wins over James Kent Trotter and Botic van de Zandschulp, respectively.

Francisco Comesana, Camilo Ugo Carabelli and Dalibor Svrcina have also advanced in China.
