6:21 CET - The tournament's top seeds have mostly navigated their way into the next round of the BNP Paribas Open.

In the women's draw, Defending champion Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka and Jessica Pegula are all safely into the third round. As for the men, Holger Rune secured his place in the third overnight, as did 2022 champion Taylor Fritz. But it hasn't all been plain sailing for the higher seeds. We've seen Stefanos Tsitsipas and Victoria Azarenka both dumped out.

Men's number-one seed Carlos Alcaraz is currently in action
