Atalanta BC have officially signed Danish defender Thomas Kristensen from Udinese Calcio. The 24-year-old centre-back completed his medical tests and final paperwork at the Zingonia training ground to formalise the move

Kristensen made an immediate impact at Udinese, settling in quickly after his move from AGF Aarhus to earn a place in the starting lineup for his Serie A debut against Fiorentina on 24 September 2023 after just three appearances for his new club.

His consistent performances turned into 26 league appearances in his first season, 24 in his second - when he also scored his first Serie A goal away to Cagliari in the fourth-last match of the campaign- and 28 in the 2025/26 season.

In his final campaign with Udinese, he also made his mark in the opposition box, scoring three goals, including one in Bergamo, courtesy of his trademark aerial ability. He now waves goodbye to Udinese having made 81 appearances in all competitions and scored four goals.

Kristensen has also represented Denmark at youth level from Under-18 to Under-21, earning 18 caps and playing a leading role in his country's run to the quarter-finals of the 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
