Tottenham Hotspur have made Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi one of their priority attacking targets as they step up plans to strengthen their forward line this summer.

Chelsea have also been linked with the highly-rated 20-year-old, but Tottenham are keen to ensure they remain firmly in the mix as they assess their options in the market.

A deal will not be easy as Bournemouth have no intention of selling Kroupi and would only entertain an extraordinary offer.

However, after already striking deals for Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali this week, Spurs remain ambitious in the market and insiders are suggesting that they have already made initial explorations around trying to open up a deal for Junior Kroupi.

There is a feeling that Bournemouth would demand in excess of £80 million before even considering negotiations.

But sources have told Flashscore that there is a feeling the player is interested in making a high profile transfer this summer.

Despite the high valuation, and pulling off other high-profile deals, Tottenham do have the financial backing to pursue further ambitious business and have begun initial explorations into what would be required to sign the forward.

Kroupi is one of several names under consideration, rather than the club’s only option. Tottenham have also tentatively looked into a move for Monaco striker Folarin Balogun, who is valued at around £50 million and is impressing for the United States at the World Cup.

Their pursuit of Savinho from Manchester City has continued to stall and it could be that Junior Kroupi is being looked upon as a versatile option for the front line.

Tottenham’s recruitment team continue to assess multiple attacking options as they look to reshape the club’s forward line ahead of the new season.

Ideally, they want a new attacker on board within the next fortnight to ensure a solid build up towards the new season.

New boss Roberto de Zerbi has had a strong impact on the club's ambitions and has helped land big targets this window already. But it appears Spurs are not finished yet.
