It's the second day of quarter-final action at Wimbledon, with Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz and Jasmine Paolini among the standout names looking to seal their place in the last four of the prestigious tournament.

16:10 CET - Linda Noskova has advanced to a maiden Grand Slam semi-final, with the Czech ninth seed proving too strong for Elise Mertens in a 6-3, 7-5 triumph.

The 21-year-old faced only one break point during the contest, winning 79% of points behind her first delivery to underline her growing reputation as one of the best players on the WTA Tour.

She'll now face Ukraine's Marta Kostyuk in the last four tomorrow for a place in Saturday's showpiece.

Having reached the French Open semi-finals last month, the Ukrainian 12th seed continues to go from strength to strength, firing down 19 winners and converting 91% of points behind her first serve to overpower Paolini in a dominant performance.

Play gets underway in a few hours, as 2024 finalist Jasmine Paolini takes on 12th seed Marta Kostyuk on Centre Court, while on Court One, rising Czech star Linda Noskova comes up against Belgium's Elise Mertens.
