Per Rapoport, Nacua has some minor sorness in his groin, and is not suspected to be serious.
Of course, any absence from Nacua would add further scrutiny to his injury record. He had a major right-knee injury ahead of last season's opener, which worsened to a PCL sprain. That saw him miss five games on injured reserve.
Also in 2025, he also picked up an ankle sprain against the Baltimore Ravens, though he only missed one game as a result. Due to his aggressive playing style, it can result in bumps and bruises during the season.
With that in mind, the Rams will not want to be without Nacua this year. In 2025, the 25-year-old led the NFL with 129 receptions for 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns. In ttoal, he has 313 catches, 4,191 yards and 19 scores in his career in the league in 44 appearances.
Nacua is currently entering the final year of his rookie deal, with his base salary for 2026 being about $5.8 million. It is expected that he will sign an extension with the Rams, that is if the team do not choose to use the franchise tag.
For the time being, the team are not concerned with the injury. Quarterback Matthew Stafford, who won the NFL MVP award in 2025, pointed out that no one was really stressed about the situation, and also thought Nacua's injury was not a significant one.
Head coach Sean McVay and his training staff will likely give more updates later on in the week, but for now, the expectation is that there is nothing to be concerned about.
