Ajax defender Anton Gaaei has reportedly reached a personal agreement with Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt, with Ajax having set their demands.

Gaaei, 23, joined Ajax from Viborg in 2023 for a fee of €4.5 million but hasn't made a great impression at the struggling Dutch giants. With Gaaei often featured in the starting XI, Ajax finished fifth in the Eredivisie last year with their joint-worst points total in Eredivisie history.

The Danish right-back is allowed to leave Ajax along with 20 other players who were listed for sale on the TransferRoom platform. Technical director Jordi Cruyff is restructuring the Ajax squad and reportedly wants to bring in up to 15 new players for the first team.

Anton Gaaei has made 111 appearances for Ajax in three years, scoring 7 goals and assisting a further 11. During the 2025-26 season, Gaaei played 37 games across all competitions, scoring 3 goals and assisting a further 5.
