According to German media, "Handball-World," Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly very interested in signing Aalborg’s Juri Knorr. This story has been circulating in the media over the last week. Knorr himself has not yet commented on the matter.

Knorr is under contract with Aalborg until 2028 and would only be available on a free transfer after that date.  He joined the club on a three-year deal starting in the summer of 2025.

According to German media, there are arguments that could support the playmaker's early exit from Aalborg. In the French capital, he could form a highly effective backcourt duo with Renars Uscins—just as they have done for the German national team. Uscins is set to move from TSV Hannover-Burgdorf to Paris next summer.

Furthermore, PSG will have a new head coach next year; the French league leaders are bringing in Roberto Garcia Parrondo from MT Melsungen. The Spaniard is well-acquainted with Knorr’s qualities from their time in the Bundesliga.

PSG are likely to have to pay a six-figure fee to the Danish club if they want to sign Knorr as early as 2027. The French side is currently set up with Luc Steins and Noah Gaudin in the central backcourt.

The Dutchman Steins is already 31 years old but remains under contract with PSG until 2029, whereas Gaudin’s contract expires in 2028. It is possible that Gaudin could leave PSG early next year to join HOJ Elite alongside current Paris coach Stefan Madsen—after all, Gaudin is already familiar with the Danish league from his time at SonderjyskE and Skjern. That would open up a spot in the backcourt for Knorr.

What would speak against a possible transfer is that Juri Knorr recently, in an interview with Flashscore, underlined that he has settled very well in Northern Denmark.

Potential successors at Aalborg are already being discussed in the media. Felix Claar is among them, though the Swedish international is also tied to SC Magdeburg until 2028.

Elias Ellefsen a Skipagötu is frequently mentioned as another alternative. The Faroese player from THW Kiel will become available in 2027.
